Intro

Hi, I'm Yu Khing and I'm a Christ-follower. I’ve had an up and down relationship with money through my adult life. At one point, I was in depression with worries over job security and financial security. Studying God’s word helped me realise that my worries was not due to lack of money in my bank account, but it was a heart issue. The Bible says where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

It is my hope that as we study what God’s word says about money and material possessions, we will move towards a life that has freedom from the trappings of this world, a way of living that allows us to glorify God with our time, talents and finances. You can read about the journey that God has brought my wife and I through at the salt&light articles linked below.

I'm also an associate trainer with the Institute for Financial Literacy which provides free and unbiased financial education to the public. I'm passionate about helping Christians  integrate Biblical principles into our financial plans and money mgmt habits. Please drop me a message if I can of service to you in anyway.

Why financialstewardship.sg

Singapore is the second richest country in the world when measured by GDP per capita (ranked only behind Luxembourg in 2024). Reflecting on the fact that Singapore is global finance and wealth management hub, I found myself asking the questions: Why has God blessed Singapore with so much wealth? And how can everyone in Singapore be taken care of? Many people are surprised that we still have poor in this land.

In Acts 2 & 4, it is recorded that in the early church, everyone shared such that no one was in need. Christians in Singapore are stewarding a large proportion of the wealth in this country. I truly believe that if all of us fully understand and live out Biblical financial stewardship, then Singapore can become like the Acts church so that no one is in need. If any country can come close, I think Singapore stands the best chance.

I believe that as we release Kingdom resources for Kingdom purposes, we will not only become like the Acts church, but also fulfill our Antioch calling to bless the nations. This is the dream I have for Singapore. I invite you to join me on this journey.
